Sid The Science Kid

I don't like my kids to watch a lot of TV but if it's PBS, I don't mind as much. If you don't already know, check out Sid The Science, it's guilt free TV.

Cool and educational books

365 Pinguine is a great book! The story is about our changing climate and of course who doesn't love Penguins. The kids will love counting all the penguins with you and the art is very modern and cool.

Ishie does the Disco!

This is my son Ishmael. He is 2.5 years old. We were at a birthday party for my home-girl Liz last night (up waaaaaaaay past his bedtime) and from the time the DJ got until the time we, left Ishmael just wouldn't stop dancing. By the end of the night he was literally dancing half asleep but the music seemed to put him in a trance. My husband finally tried to catch it on video cause it was just too funny. You can't quite see it, because it's really low rez but his facial expressions are hilarious. He is seriously into his dance moves...LOL!

Baby's First Blackberry

A lot of parents are really annoyed by the new Blackberry for babies, which is so hypocritical. We all know that we give our kids our Blackberry's and Iphones as a distraction so they don't throw tantrums or whine and complaining about having to wait to long for something. This Blackberry is for us! Technology is going to keep getting better but old school people who are scared of change will always have smack to say. If anything we should try and embrace it because whether we like it or not our kids want to be just like us.

Where to find Birkenstocks for kids?

Call me a tree-hugger or hippie but I love my Birks! They're just so comfy and also very stylish and cool. The best ones are hard to find, when my husband goes to Japan for business I always ask him to look out for some cool ones for me and the kids. Unfortunately I found most of the cooler ones on a Japanese website but my husband sent me a link to the US version. He also said it's cheaper on this site.

I hope you find something you like.

Shoes for Boys

I have two young boys and I always have the hardest time finding boys shoes that aren't sneakers for resonable prices. These are nice classic shoes that you can pass on when the kids out grow them. I love crew cuts, they always have classic clothes and shoes for boys without breaking the bank, especially when they come on sale and that happens weekly so check them out.

Yo Gabba - The Best kids show ever!

I first discovered Yo Gabba Gabba almost a year ago. My good friend Shaniqwa Jarvis told me her nieces watch it so she Googled "Yummy In My Tummy" and "Pick It Up" an animated video by the Specials. I can't seem to download any of their videos that have decent quality. The "Pick It Up" video by the Specials is still bookmarked on my Iphone. I know you can get the soundtrack on Itunes and it's amazing, finally music that both me and the kids can enjoy! With the success of Yo Gabba Gabba, I hope this will means networks will create cooler and more modern shows for kids. We're all just a bunch of grown ups that don't want to grow up anyway!
